An AC Cars railbus travelling north at Leominster. This was not a normal operating area for them, the three crew in the front and no sign of passengers suggests an empty move. This is likely one of the Western Region vehicles on transfer to Scotland in January 1967. Of these three still had whiskers - 79975, 79976 and 79978. Stuart Mackay Collection.

An unknown AC Cars vehicle (probably W79977) crosses the "other" Forth Bridge on 20th January 1968, only a few days before withdrawal. WS Sellar.
AC Cars railbus W79977 at Larbert on 20 January 1968. It would be withdrawn two weeks later, just after the passenger services to Grangemouth ended. It was one of only two of the five vehicles to have a yellow panel on the cab fronts, slightly narrower than the one 79979. It was also easy to tell them apart as this one had a white roof dome.
