The freight branch to the Didcot Trading Centre was opened with high hopes but eventually came to nothing. L402 (51377 + 59487 + 51335), 55020 and L405 (51340 + 59491 + 51381) cleaned the rust from the rails on 30th July 1978. Ian Buck.
