We’d just got the unit delivered from Aylesbury and onto Eastcroft depot at Nottingham. After training a small number of drivers we used the unit for traincrew route learning prior to Nottingham resignalling. Trevor Parkin.

Re familiarising ourselves with blue square DMU cab layout and controls. Myself as Driver Manager and a couple of instructors last worked these back in the early 1990s Trevor Parkin.

Saloon area set up as a classroom for up to 10 traincrew with whiteboard and heaters, although the area was always cold! Whiteboard still has London termini map which would soon be changed for an East Midlands version Trevor Parkin.
