A Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon (Class 119) DMU passes the little halt at Gogarth on Saturday 6 July 1968, working to Wolverhampton Low Level, presumably from Barmouth. The platform was open between 1923 and 1985. Closest appears to be Chester allocation M51101, the rear two cars in blue the DMBC with a small yellow panel. Original image by Alec Swain. A Swindon 79xxx series "E&G" unit at Gogar on 12 April 1971, in the final weeks of them operating this service before being replaced by Class 27 operated push-pull sets. From a negative that is deteriorating. Stuart Mackay Collection.
