51446 still carries its Canton set number when seen at Halifax on 21/3/89. It was now a Neville Hill vehicle, with a short spell at Bristol in between. John Carter.

August 1968 - platforms 6, 5 and 4 at Halifax. A BRCW 3-car dmu is on platform 4 forming one of the hourly Leeds-Manchester Victoria trains. Use of this platform by the Manchester trains only took place on a Saturday to aid management on how best to rationalise the station layout in the future. Mr Deltic.

With the Rowntree-Macintosh chocolate factory alongside, a Metro-Cammell Class 101 three-car DMU formed of cars E50283, E59571 & E50278 was stood at Halifax with the daily Leeds to Blackpool North service on August 9th 1980. During this period, this out-and-back Monday-Saturday working was the only regular timetabled passenger train to use the Copy Pit route between Hall Royd Junction at Todmorden and Gannow Junction at Burnley.
