0940 Crewe to Cardiff at Ludlow in mid 1973. Buffet car in use on this service and its identification can just be seen in large white letters on the trailer. I am not sure if these buffets were decommissioned in the early 60s then re commisioned when the 120s took over from Loco Hauled services on this route in about 1970 or if they were continuously in use as buffets from when built. Pressed Steel bubble W55029 on the rear of a Swindon Cross-Country set at Ludlow in May 1974. The 120 centre car has a red stripe over the buffet end and 'Buffet' lettering on the side. Mel Smith.
