Vehicle: 53468   

Deep in East Lancashire, a two-car BRCW Class 104 DMU with Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M53468 at the rear, was departing from Rishton with a Preston to Colne service on October 6th 1984. Rishton is a small town on the A678 Blackburn to Burnley road, and is mid way between Blackburn and Accrington. The station was once on the edge of the built-up area, but housing developments now block the open aspect in this view with the Pennines on the distant horizon. Martyn Hilbert.

With the driver clearly pleased to have his photograph taken, a two-car BRCW Class 104 DMU formed of cars M53511 & M53466 was arriving at Rishton with a Colne to Preston service on October 6th 1984. Martyn Hilbert.

A two-car Rolls-Royce powered Cravens DMU just to the east of Rishton station - the destination blind has not been changed as it displays Blackburn. Date unknown, circa late 1960s.
