A pair of Derby Lightweight sets. Date and location unknown. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Sadly no details with this image, so the date and location are unknown. It's formed of two Class 114 DMBSs back to back, and a 4-car Class 104. Possibly a railtour or excursion? Stuart Mackay Collection.
Accident damaged M79170 being recovered after an accident at New Mills Central on 12/10/60. The crane is from Lostock Hall MPD, and the photo can also be found in Trans-Pennine Publishing Ltd's book "British Railway's Breakdown Cranes". Bill Warden.
An accident damaged Class 108 DMBS. Taken on the Scottish Region and it's green, so I'm assuming it is 50611 withdrawn from Leith Central in October 1966. The October 1966 Railway Observer mentions collision damage to a DMU at Thornton on August 31st, which seems the likely cause. AA McLean Collection.
Three 2-car Met-Camm Lightweights, the leading in car in blue livery with just a small yellow panel. Location / date unknown (late '60s), but they are ER vehicles and perhaps the catch points sign may be a clue as to where? Steve Davies Collection.

Class 101 TCL 59528 was one of the first three Met-Camm vehicles transferred to the Western Region in 1967. It spent ten years at Reading and Cardiff before moving on to the LMR. Date and location of the image is unknown, but as it is between Canton vehicles 50869 and 50922 it should be dated to 1975 - 1977. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A close-up of West Yorkshire PTE's MetroTrain logo (below the first class compartment of a Class 101 or 111 DMC(L) vehicle) on 14/02/1987, as applied to most DMU driving cars of classes 101, 108, 110 and 111 in blue & grey livery allocated to Neville Hill during much of the 1980s (though I suspect it was not applied so much to new transfers later in the decade). It was also carried by the Class 141s in their green and white livery, and at least some of the Class 144s on their red and white livery when first delivered, though was quickly changed to the later block capitals version. Graeme Phillips Collection.
