At West Hampstead, the line out of Marylebone runs alongside the Metropolitan line. On May 6, 1981, we see a train of A stock heading for Uxbridge alongside a Marylebone to Aylesbury train formed of a class 115. The A stock was built by Cravens of Sheffield and entered service 1961-63 and operated until 2012. Jeremy Chapter.
Three different liveries on one four-car train. The leading car is all-over monastral blue, coaches two and four are in "blue band" livery, used for refurbished units from around 1974. Coach 3 is in blue/grey livery. The train is working from London Marylebone to High Wycombe and is seen at West Hampstead on May 6, 1981. Jeremy Chapter.
