The fuses used on most of the DMU electrical circuits were of the standard type used on coaching stock. For easy identification these were stamped with a fuse number, and to try and avoid the wrong fuses being fitted they had holes on the fitting tabs which corresponded with pegs on the board.
This table shows the standard range of these fuses. The fuse rating is the current that the fuse will carry continuously without deterioration. Fuses were not to be used on circuits having a higher voltage than 50.
