Laira blind, circa late 1980s /1990s. Material white PVC with black lower case lettering. These were for their Class 142 Skippers, and then fitted to 1st gen. DMUs after the Skippers were found to be unsuitable and moved away. The text size varies greatly (as per the image showing part of the blind) to make most names the same width. However this meant that on a vehicle with some of the smaller names such as Newton Abbott and Lelant Sidings it was impossible to display the name without showing parts of the line above or below.
