The overhead power lines are off as ScotRail 107734 (presumably 52011 + 59791 + 51994) and a Met-Camm set call at Barassie with an Ayr to Kilwinning shuttle, during maintenance works on 25-03-1989. Of note is that the station building at Barassie (left) is still standing - it was removed shortly after this. Gordon Thomson.

Set 107 734 (51994/59791/52011) leaves Waverley station, Edinburgh, on 7/7/89 forming the 17.27 to Perth via Cowdenbeath and Ladybank. Leonard Rogers.

Class 107 set 107 734 has been reduced to just two cars (presumably 52011 + 51994) in this view at Edinburgh Waverley on 13/03/1990. Behind is a three-car unit in Strathclyde PTE orange and brown livery is visible. The cab windows have received a black surround in an attempt to modernise the frontal appearance.
