A Class 108/101 DMU on a Sheffield service stands at Nottingham station in 1990. Closest is 53986, allocated to Neville Hill, the 280 set number (on the cab and under the vehicle number) is from its previous allocation which was to Chester. Its partner is presumably 54085. Andrew Walker.

Class 108 53986 working with a Class 101 vehicle at Bridlington on May 15, 1990. Now a Neville Hill vehicle, the CH had been painted over on the set number leaving the 280 from its time at Chester depot. John Carter.

Class 108 53986 and Class 101 54085 entering Barnetby on August 7th, 1990. The 108 had previously been part of Chester set CH280, the CH has been painted over. Rex Holt.

Nottingham, 8/1/91. 53986, labeled set 280 - note the set number is also under the bodyside vehicle Number. It is formed with a Class 101 labeled set N616! Mike Cooper.
