A Class 108 Derby Lightweight DMU waits under the bay canopies at Crewe on 10th March 1988. M51931 is the leading car. Syd Young.
27th May 1988
On Friday 27th May 1988 2 car DMU S944 (51931 + 52055) slows for its stop at Church Stretton with the 15.15 Crewe to Llandovery Central Wales line working. Notice the very unusual up and down semaphores and the loop behind the signal box. By 1988 the box was never (rarely?) in use and the loop had been disconnected but make an interesting photo, despite the fact I was using ORWO colour slide film of poor quality! Dave Gommersall.
