With the site of the long abandoned gated siding to the Brickworks at Croston in the foreground, A Class 108/104 hybrid 2-Car DMU formed of cars M52055 & M53447 get underway from Croston station, (visible on the extreme left) with a well-filled tea-time Preston to Ormskirk service on April 6th 1986. Class 108 DMU at Cardiff Central

1991

Coupling mismatch? A class 108 dmu headed by DMSL M52055 has arrived at the west end of platform 2 at Cardiff Central one day in 1991 and provides an easy passenger connection with a Paddington bound IC125. 52055 was based at Landore from October 1988 until April 1992. Tony Walmsley.
