The cab of a Derby suburban triple (Class 116) power car circa late August 1958. It is a Derby Works image (negative 58/879) taken in Duffield station. It is captioned as being from lot 30447 (the DMS). However, the next image in the series (58/880) was taken in the DMS and the view of the station shows was clearly at the opposite end from this view, so this is presumed to be DMBS W51137. British Railways.
A Derby Works image (negative 58/881) showing the luggage area a Derby suburban triple DMBS, presumably W51137, circa late August 1958. The cab end is behind the camera. British Railways.
A Derby Works image (negative 58/882) showing the van a Derby suburban triple DMBS, presumably W51137, circa late August 1958. This is looking towards the cab end of the vehicle. British Railways.
A Derby Works image (negative 58/886) showing the interior of a "Motor 2nd Brake" from a Derby suburban triple set, presumably W51137. Taken in Duffield station circa late August 1958. British Railways.
DMBS W51137 is a lighter green that it's partners (TC 59447 and the DMS is presumably 51150) when seen at East of Keynsham with the 5.20pm Bristol Temple Meads - Westbury service on May 13, 1964. Soon after the set would be converted for Newspaper traffic and after a short spell in Scotland the power cars would become the 'Railair' set. Michael Mensing.
Derby Class 130 Parcels car W51137 (formerly high density "Suburban" Class 116 DMBS) on "Railair" service with GUVs W86174 & W86572 at Bristol Temple Meads - c.1970. Out of view (to the right) would be W51150 (ex DMS) which would complete the four car "Railair" set. 53A Models of Hull Collection.
