Withdrawn Swindon Inter-City leading DMBSL SC79100 at Ely on 11 September 1977. It faces the rear end of an intermediate DMSL - possibly SC79164 - which has a condemned date of 11-72 painted on, there is also a paint date on the solebar of 25-8-67. Rob Edwards.
My previous image of a Class 126 having been an corridor connection equipped DMBS version, SC79157, this image portrays an outer unit DMBSL vehicle SC79100 complete with a standard drivers cab, guards van and toilet. She spent her working life, September 1956 to October 1972, at Leith Central MPD, Edinburgh before being dragged to Ely en route for storage and eventual disposal at the local Mayer Newman's Yard and had been dispatched through their firing tunnel at Snailwell by August 1983. Bob Woolnough.
Withdrawn Swindon Inter-City DMBSL SC79100 in Ely Yard on 5 May 1979. On the left, with the door removed, seems to be SC79164. Rob Paterson.
Withdrawn Scottish Region DMU coaches no. Sc79089, Sc79100 & Sc79105, which used to work the Glasgow to Edinburgh services, await their fate outside Swindon Works, whilst on the right, Eastern Region Class 305 EMU no. 452 awaits overhaul before being returned to service. January 26th, 1975. Suthen Softy.
