Notes

10/12/55 - M79121/79642 was the first set at Monument Lane for the Birmingham (New Street - Lichfield (City) line, hoping to begin sometime in March after 14 2-car sets had been delivered. The pair arrived from Derby on the 10th December. The following week they ran practice runs between Lichfield (city) and Four Oaks (the terminus of the then regular service from New Street), and each day travelled from Monument Lane to Lichfield via Soho Junction and Walsall.
12/12/55 - After arriving at Monument Lane carriage shed for trials and crew training, 79121 + 79642 were due to run empty between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield City from the 12th to 17th December 1955.

Disposal

Scrapped by George Cohen Ltd, Kettering arrived 09/07/70 cut circa mid-1971
