A Derby Lightweight DMU in Sutton Coldfield station with a Lichfield C via Four Oaks service. Date unknown, closest is M79653 which was a Monument Lane vehicle from new in March 1956 till June 1958 so likely in that period. Stuart Mackay Collection.
A London Midland Region publicity image (negative DL2488) showing the inside of a new shed a Bletchley circa 1965. It contains a Class 24 and two Derby Lightweights. The readable numbers are M79654 and M79653 both being allocated there. The former came from Llandudno Junction in January 1965 and the other from Redditch the previous month. British Railways.
