Easter 1956 - During the Easter (Easter Sunday was 1st April) sets M79135/79656, M79136/79657, M79143/79663 and M79147/79667 were noted working in the North Wales area.
11/08/1956 - The 10.30am (SO) Prestatyn - Manchester Exchange and the 1.30pm (SO) Manchester Exchange - Llandudno were worked by 79136/77/84 (presumably with their trailers), this was the first recorded visit of North Wales sets to Manchester.

Two two-car Derby Lightweight DMUs head for Leamington Spa Avenue at Milverton (north of Warwick). Leading seems to be M79136, its partner - presumably M79657 - is also carrying the BR emblem. Michael Mensing.
