With Deganwy in the far distance, a four-car Class 101/108 DMU, with Derby Lightweight Class 108 Driving Motor Second Lavatory Car M52046 trailing, was running alongside the Afon Conwy Estuary as it was departing from Llandudno Junction with the shuttle service to Llandudno on August 31st 1981. S946 (presumably 52046 + 53939) is working the 12.52 Shrewsbury-Swansea and S951 (presumably 52041 + 53935) the 11.49 Swansea-Shrewsbury.
