The depot had 194 different vehicles allocated to it of types Class 105, Class 108, Class 112, Class 113.
Accrington is best known as the home for the Rolls-Royce powered single-engine Cravens sets which began to arrive at the depot at the end of 1959. These remained the core allocation until 1967.
In late 1967 some of the 112s moved to Cricklewood and were replaced by 108 power-trailer sets from Allerton and Newton Heath. More of these 108s from Chester and Longsight saw the 112s gone by mid-1968. In mid-1969 the arrival of conventional Cravens from Derby Etches Park allowed the withdrawal of the 113s.
The depot would close in October 1972, the remaining allocation transferred to Newton Heath.
These are the May 1969 diagrams for the Class 113s. They'd be replaced by the 105s very soon afterwards. In May 1969 the depot also had 23 Class 108 twins, not included in these sheets.
