105373, made up of 3 driving vehicles (50384 + 51301 + 56464), pauses at Paisley Canal Station on the last day of operations of the branch, 8 January 1983. The line between Kilmacolm, Elderslie and Shields Junction closed completely to scheduled passenger services on 10 January 1983, although the section to Paisley Canal subsequently reopened and is now electrified. A temporary footbridge replaces the former wooden booking office, which was situated on the road bridge with staircases to each platform. The main station building was converted to a pub. The new station is a single terminus platform on the other side of the bridge.
