A rainy evening (13th October 1974) in the gloom of New Street station as Tyseley Class 116 set TY542 (presumably with 50890 closest) - prepares to depart on a train back to Lichfield - I had just arrived on it from there. This service was electrified and became part of the cross-city route to Redditch. Another dmu is just arriving in the adjacent platform.
