With a threatening sky, Class 118 three-car set P470 (51328 and presumably 59509 + 51313) has arrived at the picturesque Cornish resort of St Ives with the branch service from St Erth on July 30th 1980. The original station site is in the background, now a large car park and a far cry from the days when St Ives had a small loco depot for the branch engine, and the line had through trains to and from London Paddington on Summer Saturdays.
