A busy scene at York on 5th June 1985, as passengers hurry along the platform to board a gurgling four-car DMU with Newton Heath-allocated hybrid Class 104 (DMBS) 53463 & Class 108 (DMCL) 52041 leading the formation. The driver is at the head of the 'convoy' of passengers, with his polystyrene cup of British Rail tea and the guard unloads parcels from the luggage area of the Class 104. Standing alongside is Hull Botanic Gardens-allocated Class 108 (DTCL) 54207.
