Class 108 set 52045-51930 working the Locomotive Club of Great Britain (North Western)'s 'Makerfield Miner' tour running as 1T50 from Earlestown to Earlestown via various Lancashire freight lines, junctions and Ashton-in-Makerfield and Haydock collieries near Wigan, many of which are now closed. Unfortunately this shot was rather hastily taken and amongst other things, straightening it has caused the loss of everything below the buffer-beam, but hopefully it is of interest and shows a closer view of the opposite end of the unit compared with the previous photo. Seen near Haydock Branch Junction, 24/Aug/1968.
