A four-car Derby and four-car Met-Camm unit on an excursion from Morpeth at Reedsmouth in September 1961. The Hexham to Riccarton Junction line is to the left, with the Wansbeck Valley line to the right. Reedsmouth had closed to regular traffic in 1956, to close completely ten years later. Much of the station survives as a private residence. Image by Harry Townley, copyright of the Industrial Railway Society (HT-4118).
