Details

On a damp June 29th 1985, a Derby Etches Park (EP522) Swindon 'Cross-Country' Class 120 DMU, with Driving Motor Second Lavatory (DMSL) M53678 leading, was stabled between duties in the now removed bay platform on the East side of Stafford station alongside Railway Street. This was taken during the period of the Crewe Remodelling project when no trains were serving Crewe and many services were starting and terminating at Stafford, with all through services on the WCML using the normally freight only Crewe Independent Lines that bypass Crewe station.
