With one car in Blue/Grey and the other two in Rail Blue, Class 110 three-car 'Calder Valley' set, with Driving Motor Brake Composite E51811 leading, was passing Bamber Bridge with the daily Blackpool North to Leeds working on June 29th 1981. At the time this service from Leeds to Blackpool and back was the only regular timetabled passenger train to use the Copy Pit route on Monday to Friday, and brought the non-too common sight of a 'Calder Valley' DMU to Preston and the Fylde Coast.
