An official image (Derby Works negative 57/468) showing the first class areas in a trailer composite (thought to be W59000) from the first batch of Derby suburban triple sets circa April 1957. Taken in the smoking compartments looking through to the non-smoking, behind the solid partition was not the end of the vehicle but a second class compartment. The seat material was the same pattern used on other builds such as the West Riding and West Cumberland Derby Lightweights, although in third class not first.
