A Derby Heavyweight class 114 DMU set is seen crossing Mexborough East Junction with train 2R09 the 09.42 Sheffield Midland to Cleethorpes. The line to the right being the once busy freight route via Wath marshalling yard which lost its importance with the closure of the Woodhead route across the Pennines.
