The Branch Line Society's "Devonport Docker" DMU railtour traverses the Looe branch connection through Liskeard Goods Yard on May 29th 1994 operated by 117305 (51368 + 59520 + 51410). What should have been one of the highlight of the tour was withdrawn from the itinerary by BR at very short notice. The line had always been on the "banned" list because of a perceived risk of buffer locking but it did seem the BLS had at last got approval to take a passenger train over the connection between the mainline and the branch with this tour. It wasn't to be though and the line was one of two lines withdrawn from the tour route a few days before it ran. The other rather unfortunately was the Keyham Junction to Devonport Dockyard branch after which the tour was named. As the tour still had approval to visit the freight only Moorswater branch off the Looe line the DMU set is seen being run ECS between Liskeard mainline platforms and the Looe branch bay.
