A three car Swindon Cross-Country DMU pauses at Garnant station platform on the Gwaun-Cae Gurwen branch during the 'Swansea District Part 2' railtour organised by the Midland Area SLS. This was a junction station which also served the line to Brynamman West. Passengers services closed in this area in August 1958.
