Class 104 BRCW built DMU's were pretty much standard traction for the Wigan to Kirkby branch back in the 1980's ahead of the mass invasion by Pacer Railbuses by the mid 1980's. A Newton Heath allocated 2-car set waits with the 12.29 to Manchester Victoria at the single platform halt on 24 July 1985, 54176 closest.
