Last Day No.1. The 08:50 Kilmacolm - Glasgow service (ex. 08:07 from Glasgow via Gilmour Street) crosses the Black Cart Water on the approach to Cart Junction. This is probably 107 435 (with 101 DMS to rear) which was diagrammed on the branch that day. The trackbed and bridge in the foreground is the GSWR route from Cart Junction to Brownhill Junction via Kilbarchan. The Kilmacolm bridge was dismantled and the line breeched by the A737 Johnstone Bypass further north. Most of both routes to the west are now part of the Sustrans National Cycle Route network. Saturday 08 January 1983.
