An Eastern Region publicity image showing the middle section of a Met-Camm 'Lightweight' DMU power car, taken at Stratford in March 1956. This was probably to show the underframe equipment, and this is the number one (drivers) side, with the exhaust heading to the rear of the vehicle on the right. The most obvious differences from the 5xxxx series Met-Camms is the different style of radiator and different style of engine air intake oil bath filter (the cylinder on the left of the engine). The vehicle number is unknown, but is likely E79057. Image courtesy of the Chris Booth Collection.
