Partnered with a Class 108 vehicle, Gloucester Class 100 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M51117 was bringing up the rear of a lengthy rake of empty DMU cars stood in platform 5 at Crewe on June 9th 1979. The DMUs went ECS to the carriage shed at Crewe South located alongside the WCML.
