With a backdrop of a cloud-wreathed Cader Idris range, the 12.35 from Machynlleth to Pwllheli (formed of a total of 7 dmu cars) crosses Barmouth bridge on the Cambrian coast line on September 22, 1983. There is a two-car Class 101 on each end, the centre set is a Class 120 with 101 centre car.
