An unusual image showing a Class 101 DTCL separated from its set and being hauled on the rear of a rake of empty stock towards Newcastle. It is one of the "batch 2E" trailer cars which narrows it down to the 56050-061 batch, approximately half of these were allocated to South Gosforth depot during the "green with half yellow panel" era, which leads to speculation that the train's destination may be that depot? Other stock in the formation includes two Southern PMV vehicles and two BR Mark 1 coaches. The location appears to be Henwick Hall on the former East Coast Main Line south of Selby, the date is unknown.
