DMUs were unusual sights on the single-track Leamington Spa - Coventry line, normally exclusively the preserve of freight and inter-city trains. On December 3 1983, three-car TS523 trundles through Kenilworth Common with a special shuttle from Coventry to Leamington Spa due to bridge repairs at Oxford.
