A busy scene at Glasgow Central at 11.15 on 14/7/89. On the right unit 107 738 prepares to depart as the 11.15 to Barrhead. In the centre, 101 321 will depart at 11.28 to Haymarket. (In Summer 1989 the south tunnel at Haymarket was closed for electrification works, preventing access to Waverley from the Slateford direction, so the Glasgow Central services were terminating at, and starting from, Haymarket.) In the background, out of sight to the left, 120 534 has just arrived on the 10.40 from East Kilbride and its passengers are streaming past an unidentified cl.101.
