Distant Past. An interesting array of DMUs in Ayr Kyle Street Sidings. From the left it looks like a Class 126 TSL, Class 120 Cross Country Power Car, Class 116 Derby Suburban, Class 126 TSL, Class 126 Leading and Class 126 Intermediate to the right on the short road. The Swindon Cross Country is one of a number that spent a short spell at Ayr after the Aberdeen to Inverness services went over to Type 2 haulage. They eventually went south. The Class 120 is probably a DMC (three leading saloon windows) and Railcar suggests this could be Sc51787. Enlargement from half frame 35 mm negative - not great quality, but not great weather either! Uncollated negative but possibly April 1980.
