Stood at the former Great Eastern Railway terminus at Felixstowe Town, A Cravens Class 105 two-car DMU formed of Driving Trailer Composite Lavatory (DTCL) E56467 & Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) E51265, had arrived with a service from Ipswich on April 28th 1980. Rationalisation had taken place at Felixstowe Town with the track layout reduced to just a single line. The station still had some 1950's British Railways Dark Blue, Eastern Region enamel signs in-situ.
