Cravens car 51288, new to Cambridge in 1958 is seen with trailer 56442 at New Holland Town on 13 June 1981 working a New Holland Pier to Cleethorpes service. After transfer to Lincoln depot in 1964 this car did not move depots again until withdrawn in September 1984. The trailer lasted until 1986. The station was closed from 24 June 1981 after opening of the Humber Bridge, withdrawal of the ferry service from Hull and diversion of the train service directly to Barton on Humber.
