Ayr MPD allocated refurbished Class 101 Set No.172 is seen waiting for departure time in Ardrossan Harbour Station on the 3rd May 1978. Formed of DMBS SC51469 leading, TCL SC59557 intermediate, & DMCL SC51536 trailing she is forming a Boat Train service to Glasgow Central Station. The Clyde can be glimpsed through the opening on the right hand side of the image.
