Class 121 diesel railcar W55020 is seen at Bourne End on 17 February 1979 working the Maidenhead to Marlow service. Before May 1970, the line used to continue beyond the station to High Wycombe, but now the station is used for reversal of trains bound for Marlow with only a short length of platform available to clear the junction pointwork, so there is little chance of electrifying the line with existing rolling stock.
