Marlow - Maidenhead
These services, nicknamed as the 'Marlow Donkey' required a reversal at Bourne End station. Passengers could connect with Reading - Paddington local services at Maidenhead.
Some services terminated at Bourne End, some ran through to Paddington. Until 1970 the line also had a DMU service from High Wycombe.

Pressed Steel set 409 in Bourne End station, date unknown. The set number probably dates it between January 1968, when the 4xx series was introduced, and 1972, when the letter prefixes were added. The vehicles in the set at that time were 51389 + 59499 + 51347. Stuart Mackay Collection.
