A Swindon Works image (negative 5CR45) showing inside brand new Inter-City buffet car Sc79442 on 14 February 1957. This shows the buffet area with the wooden roller shutter up at the serving counter. Note that the counter is still pretty enclosed with only a small area open to the inside.
