Kingsknowe station in the western suburbs of Edinburgh closed to passengers in 1964, but after campaigning was reopened in 1971. Seen here in August 1987, a clean Derby "heavyweight" set 107434 (52011 visible) rolls across the level crossing to enter the station with one of the Glasgow Central to Edinburgh "Shotts Stoppers".
